It's OK to be ME.

It has been a LONG time since I've written here. I have just completed a very nourishing, strong, and sustainable practice and have felt inspired to write. And even more amazing is the TIME that I have right now (before my daughter wakes from her nap)!!!! There was one message, almost like a mantra that kept repeating itself to me...... It's OK to be me. It's OK to be me........It's OK to be exactly who I am, in my body exactly how it is today, with my feelings and emotions and the space that I am surrounded in. AND the real empowering part is that it's ok to be fully and wholly me without hiding any parts. What does this mean to me???? In my particular case this means that I don't need to hide behind any substance, behind any food, behind any numbing emotion or state of mind, and what would happen if I were to try and live even more fuller yet? How would I be if I were to try and be cleaner, purer, and more committed to my own transparency? How would that affect me? my family? my yoga? I love this. I love this because I find that I have desires to 'hide' each and every day, that old patterns and habits still hold secret places within me and try and crawl back into my life. I suppose this is normal. But what I remember when I practice whole-heartedly is that I don't need them. I don't need them because I am ok with who I am, fully and completely. WOW! I feel like I am understanding and seeing this for the first time!!!!! So Priya wakes......
